Santorini hot AirBnB tips!
Santorini is one of the hottest tourist destinations every season, some sometimes it is hard to find a good deal even on platforms like AirBnB, but I have some hot tips on how to save a bit on the biggest expense of any travel – accommodation.
First of all, when you’re looking for a place on AirBnB, don’t just type in the location only. You should use the search filters to go straight to places that fit your needs and perfect price range! Saves time, and often also money, because you don’t get caught into endless scrolling.
If you’re looking to save some money, you will probably end up looking at options that are away from the tourist bustle. If you ask me, that’s only an advantage, especially in the tourism season when the village centers get kinda crowded – most people come to Santorini for a peaceful time, so maybe not perfect for these people. Few of the quieter villages are Emporio, Pyrgos, Megalochori, Finikia, Firostefani.
If you do end up renting an AirBnB outside the villages, there’s one holy grail question to ask – do they have parking? You’d be surprised how many places do not offer this, and in the little streets it can become a real problem, as you most likely will rent a car to travel around the island. Sometimes the listing will seem perfect and cheap, so just make sure to ask this question before.
