INSIDER TIPS FOR BRINGING HOME THE BEST PRESENTS FROM SANTORINI

When coming to such exotic and beautiful destinations as the romantic island of Santorini in Greece, everyone is thinking hard about the best gifts to bring home from their trip, especially if they have come from overseas like America. Many young couples come here for their honeymoon or engagement so they want to thank their parents, who often times help them out with planning and financing. So today I taught I’d share some insider tips of a Santorini resident to bring home the best gifts.

The main rule is actually very simple – planning is key. Many think that the duty free stores at airports are the opportunity to get the best deals, but many times they’re not – for example, Athens airport duty free stores are more expensive than the regular stores in the city. That is why you should do some research and browse around before buying – do not buy the first thing you see at a duty free shop when you arrive in Greece. Instead have a look around and see the prices, which you can later compare with prices in Santorini and other parts of Greece. If you still find the best deals at the duty free places, you’ll be able to buy them when you fly home.

I’ll leave the deciding on which gifts are the best to you, just remember this golden rule when you come to Santorini and I’m sure you’ll find something great. Here is a link to my recent blog post with tips on the possible gifts from Thera island (Santorini).
