A million thank you’s to photographer Alex who made a “behind the scenes” video for me. Just a little insight into a photo shoot on the streets of Santorini island, Greece.
Thank you to my amazing couple Adam and Danielle for such a pleasant evening.

Wonderful honeymoon session in Imerovigli twilight
Jennifer and Kevin were adventurous enough to head out in Imerovigli around the golden hour and afterwards to get some of these moody night shots – thank you so much for letting me do this!
I can honestly say that all the couples I get to photograph have their own loving aura that cannot be replicated. That is honestly one of the perks of my job, getting to spend time with so many loving people. I hope that these couple shots can translate at least some of the beauty of Jennifer and Kevin and freeze at least a slight part of that special something in the air around them.

Adventurous couple photoshoot in Santorini
Chris and Julia came all the way from Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy some of the special Santorini sun. I was honored to find out that they themselves know a thing or two (and more ;) ) about cameras.
That being said, they trusted me completely as we set to climb all things climbable and went off to some of the smaller intimate Santorini streets in search for the golden shot. Now I can honestly admit that I’m a bit afraid of heights but their enthusiasm kept me going :) As I sit and review the shots and how lovely they look, I can’t help to think that it was totally worth it. I mean, look at this lovely couple!

Boho chic style adventure in Santorini.
Santorini is a place known for its scenic landscape with traditional Greek buildings on the Caldera and it attracts thousands of tourists every season. With that comes some pretty standard ways of enjoying what the island has to offer. But there are alternatives.
If you’re looking to strand off the beaten path a bit and do things differently and are looking for more of the authentic island life, this is for you. Tourists usually flock to Oia and that’s for a reason – it has most of the scenic architecture and little churches that couples love. It’s a great place to visit, but the crowds of tourists might ruin your vibe a bit in the busy season.
What you can do is to look at smaller, not so popular villages like Emporio and Pyrgos – these are places where you will meet locals more frequently and see people living a simple and sincere life – if you visit a cafe, you can be pretty sure that it is frequented by locals. Or you can set on your own little adventure equipped with fresh Greek produce and wine (of course) and head to a spot on the Caldera and then end the day with a magnificent sunset view from one of the rooftops in Akrotiri just to meet the sun early next day on a peaceful beach walk.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can always find ways to enjoy places a bit differently than the crowd and find your own little diamonds on the island and connect with locals and your fellow travellers on a different level. And above all, remember:
”The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” (Marcel Proust)

CHECKLIST OF SOME STUFF TO REMEMBER BEFORE YOUR
TRIP TO SANTORINI
It’s all about the journey, not the destination. That’s probably one of the least true quotes ever, at least in the era of plane travel it IS totally about the destination. The journey is just a huge mess of a million things to remember and some pitfalls to avoid to make sure you get to your destination with the least amount of stress and effort possible.
Well, today is your lucky day, because I might help your life become just a tiny bit less stressful with this simple checklist of some things to remember when setting out for travelling to Greece, Santorini. This will be especially useful for all you guys taking those long international flights (i.e. enjoying the journey the most I guess :) ).
All things aside, here’s a simple list of some stuff. Feel free to print and checkmark. Remember your:
- International drivers license
- Credit card with no international fees
- Call and notify credit card company and bank of travel
- Download viber (or any other international communication app)
- Update music on phone or MP3 player (yeah, the no-internet life is still a reality in some places)
- Scan, print and add to iBooks app (great to avoid losing your ID info if the physical documents are lost or forgotten):
- Divers license
- Detailed itinerary
- Hotel information – addresses and phone numbers
- Ferry information – boat names, reservation numbers, times and gate numbers
- Be sure to download all flight company apps and save your tickets there digitally, for a super safe option you can also print them.
This should cover most of the bases for you. Also, if you’re from outside EU, you’ll probably thank yourself for bringing some nice sleeping gear – get one of those neck pillows, they save lives! Also, forget your high fashion, do the flight in sweatpants or even pijamas for super extra comfort.
Hello dear friends,
Thank you for being together with me in this journey. This has been an exciting year both professionally and personally – I have had the chance to meet so many of you from around the world and have learned a lot and enjoyed every second. Doctors, teachers, artists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, you name it – seems like everyone has flocked to this small Greek island. Santorini has been the destination for Japanese, Canadians, Americans, people from virtually all European countries, Brazilians, Swedes, South Africans, Singaporeans and many many more.
You chose me to capture your moments here, for which I am immensely grateful. And I feel that we are more than just a photographer and clients.
I wish you the very best for 2018 and hope to see you here again someday!

Magical loving wanderers stop by Santorini
Carolina and Arturo are Mexican, but they currently study medicine in Jerusalem. What a combo! They’ve been happily married for 5 years and there’s many more to come. As I met them it was clear that they are truly an adventure loving couple.
We waited for Santorini to do its thing and offer us a marvelous sunset. And it did. When the magic hour struck, it all clicked into place – her pastel dress, his loving look their body language.
It warmed my heart to receive this message the other day, the best thing any photographer could ask really:
Thank you sooo much for such amazing photos! We have no words to tell you how happy and grateful we are about your work! Is such an amazing work and you’re so talented really! You’re the best! You have the eye to capture an emotion and the perfect moment. These photos are like a treasure for us, we are so happy and we can’t believe are us! Thank you for everything, during the photo session was really fun.
You’re the best photographer that’s for sure and we are so grateful that we had the opportunity to know you and that you agreed to work with us!
Thank you so much!!! :)
Hugs and kisses

Ashley and Mark’s pre-wedding shoot
Oh the stresses of a wedding- making guest lists, arranging the venue, and even making millions of decisions like the color of the flowers all add up quickly. But it can be different when you elope. But don’t take my word for it, here’s what Ashley had to say:
The flowers were the wrong color, but when you are in Santorini, WHO CARES :). It was SOOO beautiful!
I’m glad I was a part of their elopement journey. I had the opportunity to see their eyes and hearts light up in their first look. It was amazing how much trust I got from the couple to capture the intimate moments. While Mark was waiting on the roof Zenith Blue Hotel in Imerovigli (http://zenithblue.gr/) I helped Ashley with the dress. When I got to the roof it was a signal to Mark – it was time. He turned away just to see his beautiful bride in front of him seconds later.
To be honest, it is hard to have bad pictures with such a radiant and loving couple. Their energy and love captured me and I just held on to this wave as I captured these. I really feel all the work paid off when I received this sweet email:
I think we definitely did the best thing :) We explored, we had fun, and it was SO romantic. We had the best time, and we still talk about it all the time. Plus, EVERYONE LOVES YOUR PICTURES. People say how they wish you lived here. :)
Well Ashley, thank you but my heart is still in the magical island of Santorini.
I wish you the very best and I’m waiting for you to come back for your anniversary.

AMAZING SOUTH AFRICAN COUPLE DISCOVER SANTORINI
Even if you’re not getting married here, marriage still brings a lot of amazing couples here to this small love island in the Aegean Sea. This was exactly what happened with Tanja and Xander – they came all the way from South Africa for the wedding of their friends.
We chose to take some shots of the view that can be found close to their hotel. Yes – you don’t have to spend hours on a trip to get to see awesome places in Santorini! It turned out to be a windy day, which added that little bit of extra magic to the feel of the photo shoot. The fact that Tanja is making her own dresses was like icing on the cake. Of course, we had to have a bit of patience to get that perfect shot with hair and dress blowing in the wind, but it was totally worth it.
A gorgeous girl in an original dress with her charming man at the Cliffside – it never gets old! They shared a special connection. The one that surrounds yourself with positive and warm energy when you’re around them, even in the strongest winds.

JOCELYN AND CHRIS – THE SWEETEST COUPLE!
Recently I had the opportunity to work with yet another sweet and loving couple. And they chose the 90 minute photo session so that we could walk to all the most iconic landmarks of Santorini bathed in the warm sunset light. What a treat for the photographer and the couple alike!
They had eloped in Spain in July and chose Santorini as their honeymoon destination! Plus, they had found a place on Airbnb. Your European dream is possible with a bit of planning!
As we were not in a rush, we managed to get the iconic shots in the bright Santorini sunlight as well as more laid back and moody ones as the sun set. We took photographs next to the Blue Church, Caldera view, Skaros Rock, volcano view and the path next to the Caldera.
Here’s some feedback that brought immense joy to me,
“We just looked at them and oh my! They are gorgeous. Thank you so much for your wonderful work. It’s hard to believe that’s us. We love them so much. We want to thank you for making it such a fun shoot! We were both nervous and you made us feel at ease. So thank you!! It means so much to us.”
