Hello dear friends,
Thank you for being together with me in this journey. This has been an exciting year both professionally and personally – I have had the chance to meet so many of you from around the world and have learned a lot and enjoyed every second. Doctors, teachers, artists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, you name it – seems like everyone has flocked to this small Greek island. Santorini has been the destination for Japanese, Canadians, Americans, people from virtually all European countries, Brazilians, Swedes, South Africans, Singaporeans and many many more.
You chose me to capture your moments here, for which I am immensely grateful. And I feel that we are more than just a photographer and clients.
I wish you the very best for 2018 and hope to see you here again someday!

Joan and Anthony – a dreamy Santorini photo session
Joan and Anthony is an amazing couple all the way from Vancouver, Canada. Freshly married, young and deeply in love, they came to Santorini for their honeymoon. And boy am I glad they chose this island – amazing couple that radiated love and warmth even in this windy day.
Speaking of wind, we managed to use it to our advantage. These kind of days are the best for dreamy photo shoots. It might have taken more attempts but I feel that the pictures do justice to the dreamy aura that surrounds Joan and Anthony wherever they go.
I’m glad and grateful to have been a part of their story. All the best and hope to see you again soon!

Ashley and Mark’s pre-wedding shoot
Oh the stresses of a wedding- making guest lists, arranging the venue, and even making millions of decisions like the color of the flowers all add up quickly. But it can be different when you elope. But don’t take my word for it, here’s what Ashley had to say:
The flowers were the wrong color, but when you are in Santorini, WHO CARES :). It was SOOO beautiful!
I’m glad I was a part of their elopement journey. I had the opportunity to see their eyes and hearts light up in their first look. It was amazing how much trust I got from the couple to capture the intimate moments. While Mark was waiting on the roof Zenith Blue Hotel in Imerovigli (http://zenithblue.gr/) I helped Ashley with the dress. When I got to the roof it was a signal to Mark – it was time. He turned away just to see his beautiful bride in front of him seconds later.
To be honest, it is hard to have bad pictures with such a radiant and loving couple. Their energy and love captured me and I just held on to this wave as I captured these. I really feel all the work paid off when I received this sweet email:
I think we definitely did the best thing :) We explored, we had fun, and it was SO romantic. We had the best time, and we still talk about it all the time. Plus, EVERYONE LOVES YOUR PICTURES. People say how they wish you lived here. :)
Well Ashley, thank you but my heart is still in the magical island of Santorini.
I wish you the very best and I’m waiting for you to come back for your anniversary.

Santorini wedding photographers tips for travelling with
a wedding gown
Many of my clients come to Santorini to get married or celebrate their anniversary. What you don’t realize when making this decision is that you most likely will have to travel to Santorini with your wedding gowns. For guys travelling with a suit is not that challenging, but international air travel with a wedding dress can be a challenge.
First of all, let’s begin with a decision that could make your life easier. If you want to travel, you can also take this into account when choosing the dress. In general, a very classical wedding dress with a long lower part and corset. It will be far easier if you go for a Greek style or any other smaller dress. However, I know how it is – you just like the dress and you’re ready for anything to get it to Santorini. If so, then go for it!
OK when you have picked the dress, you can start figuring out how to get it to your wedding. There is no absolute advice for it but there are things you can do to increase your chances. One of the best and safest solutions for this is to get a separate suitcase for the dress only. There are actually companies that can pack your dress professionally into it to minimise creasing. When you arrive you can arrange a steam pressing to make sure everything is OK. Just make sure you are totally confident of the maximum carry on size of your flight operator, make calls to double check if necessary.
There is another, more risky solution. It is just packing your wedding dress as usual in a clear cover and carrying it on the plane. If you do this, it is a bit of a gamble, but it can turn out pretty good. Your wedding dress will of course exceed the allowed luggage dimensions, but most airport workers see the dress and light up. There’s actually a closet in most airplanes or a place to hang it up without creasing. If you’re on a long distance flight, you increase your chances dramatically if you fly first class.
If you have the time and are willing to go on an adventure, you can also arrive earlier and go wedding dress shopping closer to your destination. If you’re coming to Santorini, there are millions of possibilities in Greece before you board the ferry to the island, not to mention some spots in here as well. You can also use websites to plan and preview the dresses you want to try on. This is a good solution if you’re adventurous and willing to experiment a bit.
So there you have it, hope this helps and if you used a different technique, please let me and other couples know!

Honeymoon session with wonderful Jilian and Brian
Sometimes I wonder why these awesome people keep choosing me as their photographer! This was no exception – Jilian and Brian is one of the most radiant couples I have ever met and they were open for this photographic adventure.
At this particular day Oia was a bit crowded, but instead of getting sad about it, we took it as a creative challenge and experimented with some fresh locations! We just started at Andronis Luxury Suites and explored. This paid off big time. We had the most romantic evening filled with the smell of still blooming Bougainvillea.
It is always a pleasure to work with such a loving couple – they are surrounded by this positive energy and happiness and it automatically wears off to everyone around them.
My only hope is that I managed to capture at least a small part of their vibe in these photographs. They are truly meant for each other. It warmed my heart to receive this email the other day:
I will be sure to tag you in any photos I share, and will most definitely be recommending you to any of our friends traveling to Santorini in the future.
Take care and keep in touch!
I wish you the very best and I’m sure we will meet for your anniversary trips on this small, sunny Greek island :)

SOME BEHIND THE SCENES OF MY PHOTO SHOOTS
Today I thought I should share some of the information of what to expect when you sign up for a photo shoot and share some of the behind the scenes and give some advice of what to bring with you etc.
Be prepared that your photo session is going to be an adventure and as a real adventure. Santorini summers get quite hot – ideally bring a hat and definitely bring a water bottle. Photo sessions usually involve walking between the locations and you might have to do some climbing as well – it’s all worth it to get the perfect shot! That’s why you should think about an extra pair of shoes (ladies especially, the Santorini cobble stone streets are not perfect for heels).
Usually you’ll have to hold a comfortable pose to get the right shot – Santorini gets really windy (which allows for artistic effect), but some time might be needed to get the perfect whirl of your dress, hair etc. What we’re looking for is that decisive moment where you have the feeling like you’re on top of the world. In the windy days a long dress is the most comfortable and the best option for feeling and looking good. So if you want a short dress for the photo shoot it would be good to have two options in case of those crazy winds.
All in all, if you just prepare a bit and have a relaxed attitude, these photo sessions are a great opportunity to explore some of the glorious sights of Santorini and have a new experience with your loved one.

JOCELYN AND CHRIS – THE SWEETEST COUPLE!
Recently I had the opportunity to work with yet another sweet and loving couple. And they chose the 90 minute photo session so that we could walk to all the most iconic landmarks of Santorini bathed in the warm sunset light. What a treat for the photographer and the couple alike!
They had eloped in Spain in July and chose Santorini as their honeymoon destination! Plus, they had found a place on Airbnb. Your European dream is possible with a bit of planning!
As we were not in a rush, we managed to get the iconic shots in the bright Santorini sunlight as well as more laid back and moody ones as the sun set. We took photographs next to the Blue Church, Caldera view, Skaros Rock, volcano view and the path next to the Caldera.
Here’s some feedback that brought immense joy to me,
“We just looked at them and oh my! They are gorgeous. Thank you so much for your wonderful work. It’s hard to believe that’s us. We love them so much. We want to thank you for making it such a fun shoot! We were both nervous and you made us feel at ease. So thank you!! It means so much to us.”
